Behind Elevate English is a small, highly experienced team of English specialists committed to helping students become confident, independent and successful learners.
Every Elevate tutor is a highly experienced teacher with either GCSE examining expertise and/or senior leadership experience. This means students receive exceptional subject knowledge, a clear understanding of exam expectations and personalised support that challenges them while building their confidence.

Hi from Elle
After years of teaching in the UK and internationally - including in sixth-form colleges and an Outstanding-rated private school - Elle saw too many students slipping through the cracks. Those who needed greater support, more challenge or simply someone to believe in their potential.
That’s why Elevate English was born. Small-group, high-impact lessons designed to give every student the individual attention, clear strategies, and structured guidance they need to thrive.
At Elevate English, teaching isn't just a job, it’s a passion. Over the years, we have seen first-hand how the right support can completely transform a student’s confidence, motivation, and results. At Elevate English we believe learning should be interactive, inspiring, and empowering. Teaching is about more than just grades (although these are important!); it’s about helping students find their voice, develop independence, and believe in their abilities.

Angela - Tutor
Angela has taught English Language and Literature for over 20 years. During this time, she has led a range of initiatives, from developing skills-based curricula to leading the English department at a secondary school.
Her experience as a GCSE examiner gives her valuable insight into what examiners are looking for, which she translates into clear, practical guidance for her students.
Throughout her career, Angela’s greatest passion has been equipping students with the skills they need to excel in English. She believes that, with the right guidance and support, every student can fulfil their potential—and that many simply need help building their confidence when approaching texts and writing tasks.
As a tutor, Angela aims to provide the expert guidance and encouragement students need to develop their confidence, strengthen their skills and reach—or exceed—their full potential.

Elevate sessions are for students in Years 8–11 and are tailored to the KS3, GCSE, and iGCSE curriculum. With expert guidance, a supportive atmosphere, and small group sizes, each lesson builds core skills, covers key content, and develops strong exam technique.
